GEORGETOWN
We stopped in Georgetown on our way to Breckenridge. It's located about an hour west of Denver. Georgetown is full of history, stunning mountainous views, great restaurants, shops & hiking trails. This is a historical, charming former mining town. It is definitely worth stopping at and exploring.

We went on the Georgetown Loop Railroad. This is a great way to see the Colorado Rocky Mountains. They also offer gold panning. Be sure to book your tickets online ahead of time as they do sell out. We had so much fun relaxing and taking in the beautiful views. https://www.georgetownlooprr.com

BRECKENRIDGE
Breckenridge is a town at the base of the Rocky Mountains. It is known for it's ski resorts and year around activities. Breckenridge has literally something for everyone no matter what time of year you visit. Some of the activities they offer besides World Class skiing; they offer fly-fishing, biking, hiking, unique culinary experiences, & hopping nightlife.
We spent a couple hours here, exploring the picturesque historic town with so many Victorian buildings. We ventured down Main Street to see many boutiques, studios, galleries & took in the beautiful scenery. It's a very quaint town that you can walk or take the free town shuttle everywhere.
The entire town of Breckenridge is practically ski-in & ski-out. You can ski directly into the town towards your loading property or car then you're done skiing.
It is very highly recommended to book lodging and activities ahead of time as the popular things do SELL OUT.
