Nestled near Grand Teton National Park, Jackson is one of those mountain towns that instantly makes you fall in love. Between the western charm, incredible restaurants, cozy mountain vibes, breathtaking scenery, and endless things to do, it’s easy to see why so many people keep coming back.

We spent a day and a half exploring downtown Jackson and honestly…we could’ve stayed so much longer.
Whether you’re visiting for a national park road trip, a luxury mountain getaway, or simply wanting to experience the charm of Jackson Hole, here’s everything we recommend doing while you’re there.
Explore Downtown Jackson
One of our favorite parts about Jackson was simply walking around downtown.
The entire area feels like a mix of:
Western charm
Luxury mountain town
Cozy small-town atmosphere
Outdoor adventure destination
The streets are lined with:

🍽️ Restaurants & bars
Everywhere you look there are mountain views, rustic buildings, and fun little spots to explore.
Downtown Jackson is extremely walkable, which makes it perfect for spending an afternoon wandering through shops and stopping wherever catches your eye.
Take Photos at the Famous Antler Arches
You can’t visit Jackson without taking photos under the famous antler arches in Town Square.
These arches are one of the most iconic photo spots in Wyoming and honestly look even cooler in person.
There are four arches located around the square, all made from elk antlers collected from the nearby National Elk Refuge.

✨ Tip: Go early in the morning or later in the evening if you want fewer crowds for photos.
At night, the square lights up and feels incredibly cozy and charming.
Grab Lunch at Bin22
If you love wine, tapas, and Italian-inspired food, Bin22 is a MUST. This spot ended up being one of our favorite lunch stops in Jackson.
The atmosphere is trendy but relaxed, and the food was absolutely incredible.

It’s the perfect place to sit back, relax, and enjoy a slower-paced lunch while exploring downtown.

Visit Snake River Brewing
Another great lunch or casual dinner spot is Snake River Brewing.


This brewery has a laid-back mountain-town feel and is known for:

🍔 Burgers
🍕 Pizza
🥨 Pub food
🌮 Casual bites

It’s a great stop after a long day exploring Grand Teton National Park or downtown Jackson.
The outdoor patio is especially nice during warmer months.
Stop at Coco Love for Dessert
If you have a sweet tooth, you NEED to stop at Coco Love.

This little dessert shop was one of the cutest places we visited in Jackson and the chocolate was amazing.
It’s the perfect mid-day treat while exploring downtown.
From handcrafted chocolates to specialty desserts and drinks, everything feels elevated and cozy.
Honestly…it’s impossible to walk out empty handed.
Have Drinks at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar
One of the most iconic things to do in Jackson is visit the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Even if you don’t drink, it’s worth stopping in just to experience it.

This historic western bar is famous for:
🤠 Saddle bar stools
🎶 Live music
🥃 Western atmosphere
🪵 Rustic decor

It truly feels like stepping into an old western movie.
The vibe here is fun, lively, and very “Jackson Hole.”

✨ Tip: Go in the evening if you want the full experience with live music and nightlife.
Dinner at Gun Barrel Steak & Game House
For dinner, we highly recommend Gun Barrel Steak & Game House. If you want the classic Wyoming dining experience, this is it.
The restaurant has a rustic lodge atmosphere and is known for:

🍖 Wild game dishes
🍷 Cocktails & wine

The portions are generous and the entire experience feels very cozy and western.
After spending the day exploring Jackson, this felt like the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great dinner.
