Weekend Wanderings: Exploring New Gems in Minneapolis

Minneapolis has a way of surprising you—even when you think you’ve seen it all. This past weekend, we set out to explore a few new-to-us spots around the city, and it turned into the perfect mix of good food, vibrant energy, and hidden charm. Whether you’re a local looking for a fun weekend itinerary or visiting the Twin Cities for the first time, these stops deserve a spot on your radar.

We kicked off the weekend with dinner at Full Tilt Tavern, and let’s just say—this place lives up to the hype. The vibe is laid-back yet lively, with friendly service and a menu that hits all the right notes. We tried their Birria Bowl & Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

The next morning, we made our way to the Tulip House, and wow—what a magical little find. Picture rows of vibrant tulips in full bloom, a peaceful atmosphere, and photo ops around every corner. It’s a seasonal gem that makes you forget you’re in the city. If you’re looking to slow down, breathe in some fresh floral air, and enjoy nature’s beauty, this is it. Highly recommend bringing your camera (or phone)—you’ll want to capture it all.

After that we strolled through a farmer’s market! We spent time browsing the fresh produce, handmade goods, local honey, flowers, and baked treats. The energy was so upbeat—families, musicians, and vendors all contributing to the lively weekend vibe. It’s a great way to support local and stock up on goodies you didn’t know you needed ;).

We wrapped up our weekend at The Breakfast Club, and it was everything you want in a brunch spot—playful atmosphere, Instagram-worthy decor, and seriously satisfying food. The portions are generous, the coffee is strong, and the menu has something for everyone (you MUST try the breakfast egg rolls).
